Summer '11 First Edition: It feels like paradise, the world is closing in.. it feels so right.

Hello all,
MyMusicRx is back in full effect, with info on each of the artists and some of my input on each song! I've got a list of 10 awesome beats + 1 prescription of the week that will without a doubt make you wanna get up and dance, wherever you are.
We've reached the beginning of Summer break and it feels oh so good! I'm going to dedicate this playlist to the graduating Seniors of 2011, specifically two close friends graduating from Boston University next week: Baby Girl and Nugget. May your entrance into the real world be the start of a successful and happy life in the years to come. All the best!

I'd also like to thank everyone who has visited my blog, we've reached 400 views and it's only going to grow from here. Thanks for your support!

Much love!!

Prescription of the Week #6.

So, If you remember from my spring break playlist I introduced you to a new, up- and- coming, Norwegian artist, Christina Skaar. I'm a huge fan and fully support her work. Her biggest hit, "Freedom" has even made it up to #24 on the Billboard dance chart. She's definitely on her way to becoming the next big thing. I recently discovered this remix that is SO AMAZING, I've had it on repeat for the past couple of days. Also, be sure to check out her Facebook fan page and get a sneak peek at her newest track "Ain't Gonna Fail." It's release date has yet to be announced, but all the remixes as well as the original look extremely promising. Enjoy!

Peace in the Middle East.

This Israeli music producer and DJ has been around for quite some time and has even worked and written songs for some of R&B's biggest names, including Diddy and Ashanti. He's definitely got experience under his belt and has established a name for himself, not only in his homeland, but even internationally. You can definitely hear the middle eastern influence in this song.. bonding cultures through music? Love it. I've also included his newest release "Jump" ft. Emmi on this playlist, another great dance song.

Some more Yinon.

Desert Rain Part II?

This artist is the newest addition to Mayavin Records. Sound familiar? It should- it's the musical mastermind Edward Maya's recording label, and as such it's sure to produce some great artists.

SHM.

The highly anticipated release from Swedish House Mafia... need i say more?

Alguma influência brasileira.

This DJ and Producer from Belo Horizante, Brazil is most well known for his remixes of songs put out by various artists. However, this is the first song of his own he has produced and I absolutely love it.

Tim Berg.

Avicii, Avicii, Avicii. He is definetely one of my favorite DJ's right now. This mix has been out for quite some time, but it never gets old. Sex on fire and Avicii are a lethal combination, so be sure to take appropriate doses!!

Hello, again.

This Parisian producer is, of course, most well known for his single "Hello," which topped the dance charts worldwide. This newest release is sure to be another club hit, thanks to this Hardwell mix.

TranceTranceTrance.

I've noticed that I don't include a lot of trance on my blog, so I've decided I'd change that this week. I absolutely love Above & Beyond, especially the vocalists they get on their tracks- they always make the perfect combination. If you're in the Boston area this weekend (5/21), they'll be performing at Royale nightclub Saturday night!

Real music.

Real, a Spanish DJ, is definitely one to look out for. His beats have got that relaxed tropical sound, but also that ghettotech sound that makes his music perfect for the club scene.

Move aside Pitbull and J.Lo.. Salt and Fire is here.

I'm usually not a fan of remixes that aren't sung by the original artists, but this mix is just TOO good, that it doesn't matter. Sorry Pitbull and J.Lo, I think this is better than the original.

Happy Cinco de Mayo!

On this festive day I bring you 8 of my recent favorites. You'll notice there is a new track from Cascada that has yet to be released on Youtube. I have to say, I'm a sucker for Cascada so I had to include it. Nonetheless, good music is good music. And the Prescription of the Week is a hot beat right now (I'm a big Calvin Harris fan), so be sure to bump it while celebrating tonight.

Further instructions: This week's tracks are recommended with several shots of tequila. For best results, drink & listen while wearing a sombrero and poncho ensemble.

Cheers!
